Karen Pfrommer Co-Owner of Dance in Rhythm Karen Pfrommer began her teaching career in 1982 at the Boston Arthur Murray Dance Studio and taught at the Arthur Murray Dance Studios in Boston, Warwick, and Hamden for nine years. In 1988, she won the Northeast Regional Dance Championship with her partner. She opened her own dance studio in 1991 and continues to own it. She is certified with High Honors by the American and English branches of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) in Theatre Arts, American Style Smooth and Rhythm, and International Style Standard. Over the past 6 years she has judged many collegiate ballroom competitions. She is a member of the National Dance Council of America (NDCA) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD). She is the coach for the Yale Ballroom Club and Newcomer Team and Sacred Heart University Ballroom Club.  She teaches a ballroom course at Quinnipiac University and also initiated and teaches a ballroom dance program at Hamden Hall Day School. -return-
